FAQs

What is the difference between the ceramic and cement shelves?

Each ceramic shelf is sculpted by hand and is one of a kind. The cement shelves are made using a mold of a ceramic shelf and are small batch. The cement is slightly lighter than the ceramic which is conducive to having backs on the shelves, whereas the hanging ceramic pieces are designed without a back. Deciding between ceramic or cement comes down to aesthetic preferences and budget.

How should I hang my shelf?

Cement: These pieces are hung using two nails or screws. While I do not personally use drywall anchors please use your best judgement based on your wall type, or consult your local hardware store. I want you to feel confident hanging and using your piece. If at any point, for any reason, it breaks I will replace it for just the cost of shipping.

Ceramic: Ceramic shelves comes with a rope attached and can be hung from a picture hanger rated to 20lbs (included in your package). Alternatively you can remove the rope and follow the above cement recommendations.

How much do your shelves weigh?

Cement: small - 2.25lbs, medium - 2.5lbs, large - 5.35lbs

Ceramic: 3-6lbs depending on size

How do you package your shelves?

Each piece is wrapped in a paper bubble wrap alternative and placed in a box filled with biodegradable packing peanuts. All my packing materials are as eco-friendly as possible and can be recycled or composted (although please reuse what you can!).
